ports visited

2012 SCHEDULE
Minstrel circumnavigated most of Great Britain in 2010. Going clockwise she departed from the Solent in April, returning in August. 39 ports were visited in all. Highlights are too many to mention, but the summit loch of the Caledonian Canal, Loch Oich at 106 ft above sea level the highest point on the voyage, and a run down Loch Ness (the deepest water on the voyage at 754ft) in a gale on the same sunny day will perhaps last longest in the memory. On the previous leg the same could be said of  a dinghy trip inside Fingal’s cave.

In 2012 we are planning a voyage in the opposite direction to be equally memorable, visiting some of the places missed in 2010. This time we plan a stop over in Stromness on Orkney, and visits to the Inner & Outer Hebrides. The southbound leg in the Irish Sea gives an opportunity to view the stunning scenery of the East coasts of Ireland.

Customised cruises are also available on request.
